A Brief History
My
life has afforded me a wide variety of experiences. I have lived and worked
all over the world in countries that include the United States, England,
France, Italy, Austria, and Germany. I have worked in jobs that include the
intelligence community, a technician in the worldwide military command and
control system, support for operational war planning in manpower and
personnel processing, the healthcare industry, software engineering, and the
financial industry including mortgage systems, accounting and banking. I
have met and worked with people from almost every walk of life. I am married to a great woman, wife
and mother. I want to go to
Washington and represent district 24
because I believe that this country is the greatest on the planet and with
the right people we can fix the problems we face without destroying our
democracy.
Education
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology and I have a
Master's of Science degree in Accountancy.
Military Service
After from graduating high school in 1971 I enlisted in the United States
Air Force and worked in the communications field for the intelligence
community and was honorably discharged in 1977.
After leaving the Air Force, I worked for the Defense Intelligence Agency in
the National Military Intelligence Center (Joint Chiefs of Staff) at the
Pentagon.
Government Service
When I left the Defense intelligence agency I worked for a private
contracting company on the World Wide Military Command and Control System in
various countries around the world and eventually ended up working on a
manpower and personnel system project for the Air Force Military Personnel
Center at Randolph Air Force Base Texas that successfully allowed for the
deployment of 500,000 troops for Desert Shield.
Small Business Owner
The next phase in my life started with my opening a software engineering
company in Florida. For 10 years, I experienced the challenges facing small
businesses and the pressures of that the overbearing government bureaucracy
puts on a small-business. In
September of 2001 (9/11) most
services companies took a turn for the worst and mine was no exception.
I entered into the financial
industry where I am working today.
Why I Want To Serve This Nation Again
I have watched this country go from the largest producing nation in the
world with a very high level of personal responsibility into an
ever-increasing nation controlled by a corrupt national bureaucracy that has
stolen the best attributes of this nation and penalized those that practice
such things as integrity, honesty, good work ethic, and personal
responsibility are viewed as undesirable traits.
I have watched a government that was previously responsible to the voters
transition into a government that ignores the wishes of the voters. We must
at least try to restore this nation to a producer nation and improve the
livelihood of each American. To do this we must send people to Washington
that remember how great this country was and how great he can be once again.
The people sent to Washington must represent their constituents, their
friends and neighbors, and can promote legislation that will reflect all
that is good in this wonderful nation.
This is probably our last chance to restore this nation to the ideals that
our forefathers envisioned. It is time for America to rise to this challenge
as it has so many other times before.
